CNN feature Williamson’s Tunnels, on new worldwide article

Back in August 2026, we were delighted to receive a message from Travel Journalist, Maureen O’Hare, at CNN, American News Channel. Maureen asked if she could feature the Williamson’s Tunnels, whilst profiling the work done by FoWT’s volunteers through the years. As ever, we were only too pleased to help. So a few weeks later we welcomed Maureen to Mason Street.

Maureen was greeted by the team. Tom, Mike and Clare took her on a full tour of both Paddington and the House Site, all taking their turn to be interviewed at different locations throughout the day. Maureen told us she really enjoyed her visit to the Tunnels.

The finished CNN travel article is a Web feature which is accompanied by a short video. We supplied a series of archival images of our Big Dig, along with video footage from 2015, documenting our volunteers whilst digging in the Cathedral chamber, Paddington.

We are please to announce that this article was released on the 27th October 2026 and both the article and video can be viewed on the CNN website.
