How to find us

Paddington | The House

1. Paddington

The Paddington tunnels are on the small street called Paddington, not far from the Royal Liverpool Hospital.  Our entrance to the tunnels is just inside the grounds of the Liberty Park student village.

If you are looking for the Paddington site, you might notice some brown heritage road-signs: these lead to the Williamson Tunnels Heritage Centre on Smithdown Lane which gives access to a separate part of the network.  You need to go further up the hill, near All Saints Church at the top, where you will find our entrance in the grounds of the Liberty Park student village, next to the Electric Sub-Station.

Postcode for satnav:  L7 3RG (puts you just around the corner on Mason Street)

 2. The House site

The House site is at no.44 Mason Street, not far from the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Please be sure not to park in the residents’ spaces. NB The house site is normally closed and inaccessible; it is only open when we are running pre-planned visits or open days.

If you’re looking for the house site, you might notice some brown heritage road-signs: these lead to the Williamson Tunnels Heritage Centre on Smithdown Lane which gives access to a separate part of the network. You need to go further up the hill into Mason Street, where you will find Williamson’s House Site, the cream house façade with Blue containers behind.
