There’s a lot of rubble in the Williamson Tunnels, but you might have noticed that we like digging! We carry out various digging projects, as and when the relevant permissions are in place. Throughout 2015 we excavated a vast depth of the Paddington tunnels, every bucket of rubble dug out by volunteers.
Some of our Trustees are always there, along with long-term volunteers and new recruits. If you’d like to join in, let us know and you’ll be warmly welcomed. We’re a friendly bunch, we’ll show you the ropes and provide the necessary equipment. Naturally, all our digging activity is carried out to strict safety guidelines and you’ll always be in the company of at least one of our specialists who’s qualified in close confined space working.
