Underground Stockport by Phil Catling

Phil Catling looked after Stockport Air Raid Shelters for 14 years before going freelance (with impeccable timing) as the Tunnel Inspector in 2019. He also sits on the committee of SubBrit, the UK’s only organisation dedicated to visiting, studying and recording man made and man used underground spaces. Phil organises speakers for SubBrit conferences along with planning and hosting underground visits across the UK, including to Liverpool’s finest site – Williamsons Tunnels.
