Our next FoWT monthly meeting will take place on Monday 2nd December 2024 – 7.00 pm (19.00 hrs) via Zoom.

“A Christmas Cracker” – a miscellany of stories, readings and jokes” by Dave Andrews.

Our guest speaker on the night will be Dave Andrews, who will talk about “A Christmas Cracker” – a miscellany of stories, readings and jokes”.

I have arranged many Christmas broadcasts and carol services whilst at the BBC and the readings are some of the best I’ve gathered over the years. They are a mixture of the serious, humorous and poignant! But I’m sure they’ll start to invoke the spirit of Christmas.”

About Dave Andrews:-
I was born and brought up in Kent and went from there to study a Medieval History degree at York University. I was a teacher and latterly Deputy Head of a Comprehensive School in Leicester before switching to work for the BBC as a journalist and presenter at BBC Radio Leicester. In 2015 I had the honour of being made a Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire.
