Last year, we were honoured and delighted to win the Hidden Gem award at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2019. This was a very proud day for our small team of hard working volunteers.

This year we are delighted to announce that FoWT have been shortlisted for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year. Our Chairman, Gordon Hunter will be representing us at the online awards ceremony.

As you can see, we are up against some tough competition once again this year. The Committee and volunteers of FoWT wish our fellow competitors the best of luck. Whoever wins, it has been an honour to be nominated and take part.

Update

Sadly the Friends of Williamson’s Tunnels did not win the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2020 this year.

However the volunteers of FoWT are incredibly proud to have have been shortlisted for this prestigious award.

Congratulations to all the winners this year, all very worthy winners.

But for the rest of us, we were all winners, by simply being in the running for this award.
